Locals and visitors to the south shore of Lake Chelan have fond memories of camping, boating and visiting the store and restaurant at the original Cove Marina which was located 13 miles up-lake from downtown Chelan, WA along South Lakeshore Road. The marina consisted of a public boat moorage area with permits for up to 205 boat moorage slips. There was also a restaurant and a small store at the old marina. Accommodations included six motel units and a trailer park for 35 units.
Today the Cove Moorage Association resides at the site of the old Cove Marina on the south shore of Lake Chelan. In the early 1990’s the owners developed the Cove into a private association of 6 Lakeside Condominiums to replace the old motel units, 35 single wide mobile homes at the Cove Overlook Park directly across South Lakeshore Road and 24 condominiums at Cove Heights.
The 65 owners in the three HOAs comprise the Cove Estates Moorage Owners’ Association which manages the marina, clubhouse and swim area. Each owner unit is assigned one of the 76 boat slips and 10 slips are available for annual rental.
